After a drawn out battle between Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Jets, the two sides have finally reached an agreement on a one year deal worth $12 million. With Fitzpatrick originally rejecting the Jets’ previous offer of a long term deal, it’s no surprise that Fitzpatrick is betting on himself to cash in big time after the upcoming NFL season. Whether the Jets will pay him the big money or if he will even live up to his expectations remains to be seen.

This poses another question: what will the Jets do with Geno Smith? They can’t possibly start the season off with four quarterbacks, so is he going to get cut? Smith was drafted by the old Jets regime, after all.
