Yo Knows Beisbol. Well now, Yo Knows Dinero. Yo Knows around the tune of 27.5 Million per year. But more importantly to Mets fans, Yo is staying in Queens to wear the orange and blue for the New York Mets for the next 4 years. And considering the Wilpons track record of refusing to give guys the big money contracts, Mets fans have every right to celebrate.

Yoenis Cespedes was the most sought after free agent once again this offseason. The fact that Sandy Alderson was able to get a deal done before December, just goes to show how important Cespedes is to this team and this fanbase. Cespedes was a fan favorite and the narrative of the Wilpons being “cheap” would not only have continued, it could have possibly turned toxic.

But fear not Mets fans, La Potencia is signed until 2020, with a no trade clause. So here’s to the Mets returning to the World Series behind Yoenis, but with a different outcome this time around.
