The Golden State Warriors dominated the first two games of the 2017 NBA Finals. All NBA fans were wishing for a competitive game 3. There is no debating that our wish came true. The first half of game 3 was an up and down affair. Klay Thompson drained five three pointers and LeBron James finished the 1st half with 27 points. The Cavaliers entered the locker room down six points, despite tremendous play for LeBron James.

In the first two games of the series the Cavaliers were outscored by over 10 points in both 3rd quarters. In game 3, however, the tables had turned and the Cavs outscored the Warriors by over ten points. J.R. Smith finally arrived to the NBA Finals. He Finished with 16 points after scoring under 10 points combined in the first two games of the Finals. Kyrie Irving had a great game as well. His ability to finish at the rim is second to none. He finished the game with 38 points. LeBron would finish the game with 39 points.

The Cavaliers took a seven point lead late in the 4th quarter, but the Warriors never got flustered. Just when you thought the Cavaliers were about to pull away, Steph Curry or Kevin Durant would come down a knock down a clutch three. Kevin Durant has made his case to be the Finals MVP. He made the biggest shot of the game. He knocked down a three, in LeBron James’ face, to put them up one with 40 seconds left in the game. From that point on the Cavaliers look flustered and would not score again. The Warriors are now up 3-0 in the series and it would seem like the Warriors are your 2017 NBA Champions.
